Jenaye

Office Manager

I began my journey in dentistry back in 2006 after completing a Dental Assisting course and later expanded my training through the Restorative EFDA program at Spokane Community College in 2014. The first part of my career was spent chairside, working closely with high-fear and special needs patients under anesthesia—an exciting experience that shaped how I approach patient care with compassion and understanding.

I’ve always had a passion for learning every aspect of the dental office, so when the opportunity came to join Lewis and Hawn Dental as part of the front office team, I was all in! I take a lot of pride in the personalized care we offer and the life-changing impact our focus on airway and sleep health brings to our patients.

Outside the office, life is full and fun with my husband and our two adventurous boys. We love spending time outdoors—snowboarding at Schweitzer, boating on Priest Lake and Lake Pend Oreille, hiking, and foraging for huckleberries and morels.

Fun fact: I have competed in a few banked slalom snowboard races, even taking 1st place once and I hope to do more as my boys get a little older.

Katie

Dental Sleep Medicine Coordinator

I am the Sleep Coordinator for Lewis and Hawn Dental. I’ve been working in the dental field since 2014, and I truly love what I do. As the Sleep Coordinator, I’ve had the opportunity to continue my education with focused training in sleep health and sleep Appliances. It’s so rewarding to help patients improve their sleep and overall wellness.

What I love most about dentistry is seeing the transformation in people—not just in their smiles, but in their confidence and quality of life. There’s nothing better than watching someone achieve their goals and knowing I played a small part in that success.

Outside the office, I love being active and spending time outdoors, whether it’s wake surfing on the lake, camping during baseball season, hiking with my dog, or hanging out with my family.

Fun fact: I love to sing and dance whenever I get the chance!

Carrie

Front Office

I’ve been working in the dental field since 2005 and first joined the team at Lewis and Hawn Dental years ago before moving to Boise. After returning home to Sandpoint, I was thrilled to rejoin the office in 2023—and it’s been so good to be back!

One of my favorite parts of the job is greeting patients each day and helping them feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in. I love being part of a team that values both patient care and connection.

Outside the office, my life revolves around my family, faith, sports, and camping. Whether we’re enjoying the outdoors or cheering from the sidelines, I’m happiest when I’m making memories with the people I love.

Lisa

Front Office

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Washington University and have spent much of my career in customer-focused roles—from banking and bookkeeping to teaching and coaching. Each of these experiences helped shape my passion for helping people, which is what I love most about working at the front desk.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the relief and confidence our patients gain through the advanced treatment options we offer. I enjoy guiding patients toward the path that’s best for them and being a part of their journey to better health.

Outside of work, you can usually find me soaking up the best parts of every season—especially summer! I love hiking, horseback riding, biking, and spending time on or near the water. Travel is always on my list, and any time spent with family is time well spent.

Fun fact: I'm a bit of an adrenaline junky—I skydived at 18 and I’m getting ready to do it again! One day, I’m hoping to convince one of my grandbabies to jump with me when they’re old enough!

Michelle

Front Office

I graduated from Central Washington University with a teaching degree and am also a Licensed Dispensing Optician in the state of Washington. With over 10 years of customer service experience, I truly enjoy being in a role where I can help people in our community feel welcome and supported—especially when it comes to their healthcare needs.

One of the things I love most about my job is getting to make people smile—whether it’s through a helpful conversation, a warm welcome, or just a little extra kindness in their day.

Outside of the office, I spend most of my time with my family and our dog. We’re always up to something—working on home and garden projects, fishing on the lake, heading out on mountain adventures, cheering on sports teams, riding dirt bikes, and even foraging for huckleberries and mushrooms!

Fun fact: I was once the co-owner of a CrossFit gym—so I definitely enjoy staying active (and maybe doing a few burpees here and there).

Becky

Registered Dental Hygienist

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University, but my journey in dentistry actually began in 2002 when I started as Dr. Lewis’s dental assistant. I loved the field so much that I decided to continue my education and become a dental hygienist, returning to the office after graduating in 2010.

I’m passionate about providing quality care and educating my patients—not just about their oral health, but how it connects to their overall well-being. The relationships I’ve built with my patients and our team are what make this career so rewarding.

When I’m not in the office, I love spending time outdoors with my family and friends—whether it’s skiing in the mountains, boating and camping by the lake, or riding ATVs. I also enjoy traveling, catching live music, and cheering on my son in all of his sporting adventures.

Fun fact: I’m a fourth-generation native of Sagle/Sandpoint—it’s truly home, and I feel grateful to serve the community I’ve always been a part of.

Laticia

Registered Dental Hygienist

I graduated from Carrington College in Mesa, Arizona in 2013 and am certified in laser dentistry. My passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health grows stronger every year! I specialize in periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing, as well as laser-assisted treatments. My goal is always to be gentle yet thorough—making even the most anxious patients feel at ease (and maybe even excited) about their visits!

Building meaningful relationships with my patients is truly at the heart of what I do. I believe great care starts with trust, and I love being part of each patient’s journey to a healthier smile.

I was born and raised right here in Sandpoint, Idaho, and after spending over a decade in Arizona, I returned home in 2022. I actually met my husband, Chris, while in hygiene school, and now we’re raising our three amazing kids—Kahlani, Mila, and Tayson—in the place I’ve always called home.

Summers in Sandpoint are our favorite! We spend them boating, hiking, hitting the beach, enjoying family BBQs, and soaking up as much of the outdoors as we can.

Fun fact: I’ve dreamed of being a dental hygienist and working at this very office since I was thirteen years old—and now I’m living that dream every single day!

Becky

Dental Assistant

I completed dental assisting school in Spokane back in 2005 and got my start working as a hygiene assistant there for two years. In 2007, I joined the team at Lewis and Hawn Dental—and I’ve been here ever since!

I’ve always had a passion for healthcare, and dentistry felt like the perfect fit. I genuinely care for each of our patients and love getting to know them over time. While I jokingly say I’m in it for the hours, the truth is, people are my passion. I feel lucky to work with such an amazing team where patient care is always the top priority.

Outside of work, I’m married, a proud mom of two beautiful kids, and a dog mom as well. I love doing art projects with my kids and finding fun, creative ways to spend time together as a family.

Lauren

Dental Assistant

I am a registered Dental Assistant, I completed my schooling at ATS with Schofield dental in Hayden, Idaho and I have been in Dentistry since 2022. I enjoy helping patients feel cared for and my favorite procedures to assist with are Oral Surgery. I enjoy helping patients work towards their ideal oral health and building relationships along the way. Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me with my husband and our golden retriever, Tika. We love camping, fishing, and exploring in our side-by-side. I also enjoy horseback riding, and a fun fact about me—I bake my own sourdough bread!

Kimber

Dental Assistant

I am a Dental Assistant, after graduating high school in 2024 I completed a Dental Assistant program through North Idaho Dental Personal in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. I have been assisting here since September 2024 and I am loving every minute of it. My favorite procedures to assist with are extractions-they’re and give me the chance to really be hands-on. I also love connecting with patients, hearing their stories, and forming real relationships by getting to know them on a personal level. When I’m not at work, I enjoy getting outside to explore the beautiful area we live in and discovering new places. One fun fact about me: I’m a big art lover and try to visit a new gallery wherever I go!

Sarah

Dental Assistant

I received my Dental Assisting certification in 2015 from the Pristine School of Dental Assisting in my hometown. I’ve been in and around the dental field since then and feel lucky to be doing work I enjoy every day.

My favorite part about dentistry is connecting with patients—getting to know them and helping them feel as comfortable as possible during their visits. I know the dental chair isn’t everyone’s favorite place, so I do my best to make the experience a little easier and more personal.

Outside of the office, I love going on hikes and exploring the beautiful area we live in with my daughter. Spending time outdoors with her is one of my favorite things to do.
